Integrity, transparency and clear accountability are fundamental to how we conduct business.
Ploutos International Trading operates in international physical commodity markets, where counterparty identity, authority, transaction structure, documentation, payment security and regulatory requirements must be clearly understood before a transaction proceeds.
Our approach is straightforward: we work with identifiable counterparties, require a defined commercial purpose and do not proceed where material concerns regarding the parties, authority or transaction structure remain unresolved.
Counterparty Due Diligence
We require sufficient information to understand who we are dealing with and the commercial basis of the proposed transaction.
Prospective counterparties are expected to provide appropriate corporate information and transaction documentation. Depending on the transaction, this includes a formal Letter of Intent, company information and CIS/KYC documentation.
The identity and role of the parties, their authority to transact, the product requirement, quantity, destination, delivery basis and proposed payment structure must be sufficiently clear before a transaction is advanced.
Where these fundamentals cannot be established, Ploutos may decline to proceed.
Sanctions & Trade Restrictions
Ploutos does not knowingly enter into, support or facilitate transactions intended to violate or circumvent sanctions, embargoes or trade restrictions applicable to a transaction.
International commodity transactions may involve several jurisdictions, banks, shipping routes and contractual parties. Applicable legal and regulatory restrictions must therefore be considered in the context of the particular transaction.
Where a material sanctions or trade-control concern cannot be satisfactorily resolved, the transaction will not proceed.
Anti-Bribery & Corruption
Ploutos has zero tolerance for bribery and corruption.
We do not offer, promise, request or accept bribes, kickbacks, facilitation payments or other improper advantages in connection with our business.
The involvement of a representative, intermediary or other third party does not make conduct acceptable that would otherwise be improper if carried out directly.
Commercial opportunity does not justify improper conduct.
Payment, Financial Integrity & AML
Payment arrangements must correspond with the underlying commercial transaction and the identified contracting parties. These requirements strictly align with international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards.
Ploutos does not support opaque payment structures, unexplained third-party payment arrangements or banking instructions that are materially inconsistent with the agreed transaction. Furthermore, Ploutos strictly prohibits and does not accept any physical cash transactions.
Payment terms, banking requirements and documentary conditions are established as part of the commercial procedure and definitive contractual arrangements.
Where the proposed financial structure cannot be satisfactorily understood or accepted, we reserve the right not to proceed.
Counterparty & Intermediary Transparency
We do not participate in extended intermediary chains that obscure the identity, role or authority of the parties to a transaction.
Where a mandate, representative or intermediary is involved, its commercial role must be clear. Reasonable evidence of authority may be requested where appropriate.
Our objective is not to increase the number of parties between buyer and seller, but to maintain a clear and workable transaction structure from initial enquiry through contracting and execution.
Documentation & Commercial Integrity
Ploutos does not circulate offers that have not been sufficiently established through the relevant supply channel.
Commercial documents must accurately reflect the transaction to which they relate. We do not accept deliberately falsified, altered or misleading documentation.
Product information, commercial terms, inspection requirements, payment conditions and contractual responsibilities are addressed through the applicable transaction procedure and agreed documentation.
Material inconsistencies or unverifiable claims may result in the transaction being discontinued.
Confidentiality & Information Control
International commodity transactions frequently involve commercially sensitive information relating to supply sources, counterparties, pricing, documentation and contractual relationships.
Such information is handled on a need-to-know basis and may be disclosed only at the appropriate stage of a transaction and through authorised channels.
Requests for confidential supply-chain, seller or transaction documentation are considered in accordance with the applicable transaction procedure and contractual framework.
Confidentiality does not override applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Our Trading Standard
We proceed where the parties are identifiable, authority is clear, the commercial requirement is defined and the proposed transaction structure is workable.
We do not proceed solely because a commercial opportunity exists.
Where material concerns relating to authority, documentation, payment structure, sanctions exposure or transaction integrity remain unresolved, Ploutos reserves the right to decline or discontinue the transaction.
Compliance and commercial integrity form part of the transaction itself.
